Rates and Prices
Please click on any of the links below to see our price lists. These have been split into sections
depending on your business type. Please also read the information below the price lists
to give you a better understanding of how the web design process works.
Please note that the prices are indicative only, are subject to change, depend on
individual project complexity and do not include prices for domain registration or
web hosting. Costs are dependant on the content being written by the client and
being available in an acceptable electronic format.
Most web design companies won't advertise their prices. That's because websites can vary
vastly in complexity and it's difficult to say that what works for one website will
work for another. However, we think we've come up with a solution. By splitting a
website down into modules we can give you a rough idea of the cost of a website
by adding the cost of these modules together. Obviously, after we speak with you
and understand your requirements fully we will give you a fixed price quotation
for your website development but these price lists are to guide you while
you're choosing a web design company.
But firstly you need to know what goes into building a website so that you have a
better understanding of the processes involved.
Creation of a website can be roughly split down into three distinct phases, with each
phase consisting of a number of tasks:
Before development of the website can begin we need to put things in place so that we have
somewhere to develop and have an idea of what the website is going to look like. At this
stage the following tasks take place:
- Client interaction.
- Client provides a design brief.
- Preliminary design of look-and-feel.
- Design of navigation (menu) system.
- Domain registration (if required).
- Setup of web hosting.
To keep the cost of the website as low as possible, we need detailed input from our clients.
Your design brief should have
as much information in it as possible with regards to how you want your website to look and behave,
what colours you would like as the main colours on the page, what pages you want in the website,
and what images or logos you would like us to incorporate. We have a form that you can fill in
for us asking all of the relevant questions to make your life easier.
This phase consists of the actual coding of the website in ASP.NET, PHP, HTML or whatever technology we
deem most appropriate. For ease of understanding our quotations, website construction is based
on a modular per-page basis. Cost of the page depends on its complexity and the tasks
involved to create it. For example, a contact form will cost more than a normal static web page.
Development of a website does not end when it goes live to the public. At this stage
we monitor the website traffic and its search engine ranking. Slight modifications for search
engine optimisation purposes will occur during this phase. You may also want to subscribe to one of
our search engine optimisation packages
which help build your link popularity.
What You Need To Know
During our consultations with you, you will hear us speak about static and dynamic websites.
A static website is one that is static i.e. it does not change. A dynamic website will
change, usually according to the data stored in a database. Static websites account for the
majority of websites in existence but dynamic websites are becoming more common. A good
use for a dynamic website is at a real estate agent where they are changing property
listings every day. In terms of search engines it is now agreed that a mixture of
static and dynamic website is usually best for your ranking. This does not mean that
costs become too great however. It could simply be obtained by adding a news section to your home
page.
In order to keep our prices low, we have to limit the amount of time we can spend on certain tasks.
This means that the price that you see in our price list contains a set amount of time or
set amount of functionality for
each task. Should we go over these limits on your request, we will have to charge for the
extra time involved.
